Gambit Launches on Kickstarter – A Co‑Op Strategy Game Featuring Your Favorite Board Game Worlds

Six Major Tabletop Publishers Unite for Gambit – The First Co-Op Video Game Crossover

Stonemaier Games, AEG, Paizo, GreyFox Games, Druid City, and Northstar Games have joined forces to bring their beloved franchises—including Wingspan, Champions of Midgard, Pathfinder, and Tidal Blades—into Gambit, a free-to-play co-op strategy game now live on Kickstarter: Kickstarter.com/projects/worldofgambit/gambit

Built for both mobile and PC, Gambit brings tabletop worlds to life. Players choose from asymmetrical factions inspired by fan-favorite games like Wingspan, Champions of Midgard, Let’s Go! To Japan, and Tidal Blades, battling side-by-side against the rigid forces of the Obsidian King

“Gambit aims to lift up these fantastic characters from across the tabletop universe, and we’re honored that Champions of Midgard is a part of the effort… this can be something that elevates the entire hobby and allow even more people to enjoy Champions of Midgard as it reaches its 10th anniversary.” – Shane Myerscough, Owner, Grey Fox Games

Backers can join the exclusive Founders Council, voting on future content including design decisions, characters, and story elements. This includes unique playtesting opportunities and access to the Founder’s Council community channels and events on Discord.

The Team

Gambit is being built by a veteran team spanning AAA video games, F2P, and tabletop design. Game Director Tyler Masterson (successful software founder, Gen Con champion) leads alongside Mechanics Designer Sean Fletcher (Disney Lorcana, Magic: The Gathering), Art Director AJ Jones (Riot Games, Love Death & Robots), Video Game Designer Eric Lindstrom (Tomb Raider Creative Director), Monetization Lead Cynthia Woll (Bingo Blitz, D&D Online, Barbie), Production Lead Josh Rose (Crystal Dynamics, Flying Wisdom Studios), and Marketing Lead Jessica Fisher (Lorcana, Gameosity). Studio Consultant Jason Robar brings particular expertise in bridging tabletop and digital gaming, having pioneered the category with the original Xbox Carcassonne adaptation.

“I’ve been part of design teams on hit tabletop titles, but Gambit stands apart — it brings the depth and cooperation of modern board gaming into a digital space, with fairness and strategic depth built right into its design,” said Jessica Fisher, Marketing Lead, Gambit.
